Converted Demon paintjob.
Hello folks.
Quick update here. My friend, Paul, from the Game Shop is an absolute whizz the Green Stuff (modeling putty). His conversions are beautiful things to behold, and its all come to him so quickly. Recently he bought a Demon Prince kit and after assembling the model he realised he had a spare torso, head and set of arms, so he knocked this out:
The snake-like part of the model is all sculpted by him, including each individual scale. Through the body runs a connection to a small red LED in the chest that when hooked up to a battery, shine through the arrows in the chest that Paul carved out with a knife! So cool!
He is quite new to painting however and didn’t want to paint this model for fear of ruining such a great job, so I offered to paint it for him (although I also became nervous that I would ruin it!). Here’s the result:
One thing I did realise is that I will need a daylight bulb for painting from now on. The skin needs a bit of tidying up as in my painting room under a regular light-bulb and my desk lamp it looked fine, but when I took another look in the kitchen under the strip lighting I realised that the washes I had used were quite blotchy. Other than that I’m happy with how its turned out.
Hopefully in the next couple of days I can bring you and update on the progress I’ve made with my Raptor army.

Dude, you don’t know how much I’d love to paint for a living. But practicality does not allow such things
